Well another week has slipped by mainly just because of everything going on. Monday started another work week last week. Tuesday nothing fancy happened to my knowledge or recolection. Wednesday I spent organizing the truck and figuriing how this stupid cargo carrier went on. It was ridiculous. Then after I get it tied to the roof I read do not place carrier on roof until it is packed. Oh thanks. Then I got to thinking why in the world would you want to pack this thing up and then try to pick it up over your head and place it on the roof of a truck. THey obviously never had to pack for my wife.
So Thursday I had to go to Chatanooga again and did not get back unil 11 pm. Then get up Friday and go back to work and not get back home on time like I hoped to. You know how that goes we want to get somewhere but everyone else really isn't to worried about you at that moment. Then things just start falling apart the faster you try to go. So anyway. I got home Friday and as all couples do when they are packing up for a big trip you bicker and now time to move on.
Now, it' 9:30 pm and we is on the road. The trip went really well with baby and cat in tow. Yes I said cat. We treat our cat like one of the family. We rolled throuh the night and both the boys slept the whole time except when it was time to feed. Then at 9:30 am Saturday Morning we rolled into Meadville, PA to drop off our son Buddy who really likes grandma and grandpas because they have stairs and all kind of neat places to hide.
Sunday morning was an interesting time. I of course was trying to tweak and do some thiings with the audio for my in laws because they are a really small church and I enjoy being able to help. Of course when I get behind the controls and try set things up properly with no sound check and there is all this squawking I am sure they question if I really know what I am doing. Well I do and all is under control. That was the least of my worries because we were tricked into playing Mary and Joseph mainly because we had a baby. I was glad I just had to sit there and look good and that just comes naturally. Unfortuanately right before i got to make my grand entry to the stage my mom and dad had to take off because someone broke into their house. All was well. He just broke the door jam and in his search for I don't know what he just made a mess. He was a great canidate for worlds stupidest criminals because he didn't take anything. The dummy left foot prints all over and even found the key to the garge and left it in the door to the garge.
So now we are chillin at the inlaws and trying to enjoy some down time.
Well Merry Christmas and happy blogging.

Hustle and Bustle
Well it is that time of year and the days have just slipped by. It was somewhat of a busy week last week. Tuesday I ended up working late and having to take my suit that I was given as a Christmas present last year to the cleaners to get the legs shortened and my winter coat dry cleaned.
Wednesday I had to work in Chattanooga TN so I didn't get back till late again.
Thursday we got SNOW and as always TN freaked out and jacked all the roads up and in my efforts to beat the system and take a back route to get home I ended up spending 2 and half hrs. in my car.
Now Friday I picked up my dry cleaning and got my hair did so I would be presentable for Nickies Star Christmas party. When I got home Nickie said she felt like a single mom because I was so busy. I say better to be busy making money honey then no money to buy the honey.
Saturday, Saturday Saturday Saturday was the partay day and shook our booties from dusk to dawn. The party was a fun time dressing up and mingling with Nickies co workers and owners. The band Burning Las Vegas was a hit as always. The bosses always put together a video of all the newborn babies and let the clinics put their own videos together. Which can be good and bad depending on your taste of humor. For some reason they all decided to use the elf yourself video so after the tenth elf yourself video we were like okay that is not funny anymore. So, once that was over the video proceded to show humorous things that the owners did and clips from last years Christmas party provdided by yours truly. Then durning the bands time the owners asked me to video tape a paticular song that some of the women dressed up in Tina Turner outfits and did a little diddy. Unfortuanately someone decided to steal my camera after that. So that great footage is gone and so is my camera. So I have been bummed about that.
Well ,on to better things like Bryson. Bryson was a big boy and stayed over night at Ms. Deloras house. It was really tough for Nickie and it hit me about midnight when we were going to bed. I looked at Nickie and said you want to go pick him up? I am sure Deloras would appreciate us not coming in at 1 am. in the morning. So Sunday morning we went to check out and filled out a lost item report and the guy doing the report decided to give us a tour of all the behind the scenes stuff. Lets put it this way I wouldn't put that guy in charge of my cat. So as of yet they have not found my camera. The funny thing is the battery was dead and they don't have the charge cord. It may be a little difficult to use.
So that was our week and this week will be just as crazy because we are getting ready to leave for PA Friday night. So Merry Christmas and Happy Blogging.

3 MO
Well, it's been 3 months since Bryson entered this world and what a week it was. Monday started with another work day of course but then we were able to go to a New parent dinner at the Church. It was the first time we were able to go to the dinner with Bryson in a carrier vs. carrying him in the womb. It was a nice dinner. We were able to hear our senior pastor and his wife speak about their experiences in raising there twins. It was really neat to hear him open up about the things he cherished about his twin boys. He said alot of things but the thing I saw him get the most emotional about was the fact that he couldn't smell his boys hair anymore. WHAT? He couldn't smell their hair. What kind of sick man is your pastor? He is not a sick man he is man in love with his boys. So let me explain.
Having twin boys meant instead of holding one boy at a time he got to hold two boys at a time. He went on to say they had this recliner chair that he would sit in and the boys woul hop on each arm of the chair and snuggle into their dad and he would smell their hair when he would kiss them on the head and hold them close to his face meanwhile you do have to breath so he would have smell their hair.
So what do you take out of this? You take the point that your child is here for a brief moment and then they are driving off into the sunset with keys to your car and asking for more money and telling you when they can fit you into the schedule. So I hope that I will appreciate my son as much as possible and take time to smell his hair.
Well, now on to the rest of the week. I was able to get a little gig with a singer this week named Tara La delle. She sang at a little neat place called Pucketts Grocery. It's a quaint little place that is always serving good food and music. It was a bennefit dinner for some type of childrens home. It was a fun little gig other than some of their audio equipment did not want to cooperate. All in all it went well. Then came the weekend. Oh the weekend was full of activity. First we went to a baby massage class so we can give our little one massages. Then we came home and Nickie got to go to lunch with the girls and have a baby shower for a friend of ours while I got stuck being home with Byrson by myself. I got lucky though and he slept the whole time. Nickie was so mad. HA. Although I was quite the busy body getting house work done that just seems to be so hard to get to after having a child.
After Nickie got home we hung out a little bit and did the normal routine for Bryson and then headed to a Sunday School party to celebrate the holidays. We had a good time but made sure we got home at a decent hour so we could get a good night sleep so we could get up and go to church. After church we went and got a brown bag lunch at Sonic and then went and visited friends that just had their second one. Then we did some grocery shopping and came home to take a nap but that never happened.
Well hope all is going well for you during this CHRIST- mas season. Sorry if If offended you for saying CHRISTmas. If you have a problem with it call GOD and not my lawyer. I am just glad that Mary is not alive otherwise this world would have the scorn of the ultimate woman and I would not want to be the one telling people that I was going to destroy her sons birthday. So to you readers who have a problem with saying Merry Christmas sorry but you are probably not going to a not so nice place but if you don't want to go to that bad place let me know and I will give you instructions on how not to.
So hope you all had a good week and blogg to you next week.

Thanksgiving
Well this was Bryson's first thanksgiving and it was a fun one. We were able to go to some friends who have kind of adopted us knowing that we have know family here. So Thursday we got up when Bryson said so, watched the parade and got ready to go to our friends. We got there around 1 pm and finished watching the Titans womp on Detroit. So it was one the highest rated teams vs. the worst in the NFL. We had some good starters as far as food goes while we watched the game. Then the big meal came and oh was it a spread. We had Turkey, dumplings, green bean casserole, rolls, deviled eggs and more. Then of course we had a choice of apple or pumkin pie.
Bryson must have felt comfortable because he took a three hour nap and seemed to enjoy the other screaming kids that were running around and it almost seemed like he wanted to go running around with them.
Well we then ended the week by taking Bryson to another massage class that he did not like as well as he did last week. Then on Sunday we broke out the Christmas decorations and decked the halls with boughs of holly .
Well that was our week and until next time happy blogging.

Ten Weeks and counting
Well, Bryson is now ten weeks old and kicking. It was a good week and nothing to crazy went on. Nickie was able to go to one clinic and stay there. Which was really nice because we saved a ton of gas with her only having to go ten minutes down the road and not half an hour.
I was able to do a really cool gig on Tuesday although I did not get paid for it. We wanted to demonstrate a new digital console to this club so I took one for the team and by request of my so called boss I did not charge him. Of course I will make a mistake somewhere and he will still give me the what for because he only thinks in the exact moment he is in. Any way we did the gig and all went well. The bands loved the console so much they asked how they could get it there pemanently and so we told the one to go tell the owner to go sweet talk the owner. So after she did so the owner came over to us and said sure send over the cute blond to butter me up to by your equipment but in all seriousness put an estimate together and give me a call. So hopefully we get a sell out of it. The real highlight of the night was listening to a band that pretty much consists the musicians that play on 50% of the albums that are on your shelves at home. Oops! I hope I didn't let the cat out of the bag again. Sorry the bands you see on stage are not always the ones that record on the albums. They actually pay people that can play even better than the ones you see on stage. Now, not all the times but 99% of the time. Anyway they are amazing musicians and I could have listened to them another two hours.
So back to Bryson. We did not have any crazy stories where we had to chase anything down from the day care. So other than that it was a good week for the little one. We are helping the day care understand Bryson and they are helping us understand why we pay them so much. I need more work, just work that will pay me more or better yet my dream business. Any way keep us in your prayers and will do the same for you. Oh we did have some exciting news. Our friends from PA, Jackie and Gary Shaw just had their first child. His name is Eyan McGyver Shaw. He was 7 lbs 12 oz., 20 .5 inches and was born at 2:18 pm. All the numbers were the same for Bryson except the time which was 2:17 pm. The other thing that is cool is that Gary and Jackie were married 2 and half months after us and they had their first child 2 and half months after us. Crazy it's like rain on your wedding day or a free ride when your already there. Well on to another week and keep blogging.

Bryson at 9 weeks
Well, Bryson is 9 weeks old. Every day I look at him he has grown. It's like I get up, get him ready and send him and mom down the road. Then when he gets back home he has grown at least a inch. He also starts mumbling something like keys and cars. I am not sure but I think he wants the keys to the car.
Any ways this week was very iteresting. So I am going to have to go day by day.
Monday Nickie worked at the Nolensville clinic just down the road and Bryson went to day care.
Tuesday Nickie went to the Franklin clinic she has been at for three years and Bryson stayed with Ms. Lisa and Courtney who have just been absolutely dear to us.
Wendnesday they both were supposed to go to Franklin but Ms. Lisa got sick and couldn't watch him so Nickie called the day care and they said bring him on down and to help you out I will get there at 6:30 am so you can get to work on time. So that was a relief. I would have took him but Nickie said no she had things to tell the day care you know me being a man I would mess that up. Even if she wrote it on paper and I just had to hand it to the day care.
Thursday was another day at the day care and work for the both of us until Bryson got home. I looked at his car seat and said babe did you take someone elses car seat. She said not to my knowledge. Well she didn't grab the wrong one but the day care did. Which was hard for us to understand why because ours has blue elephant attached to it and we had blankets in ours and theirs didn't. Although when we called the day care to make arrangements to get ours back they said they both had blue elephants on them. Wrong answer. They did not because I got the dumb thing in my hand and there is no blue elephant.
So we found who had ours and so on Friday which was Nickie's last day in the Franklin clinic I got out of work early and took off for Franklin to pick up Bryson from his last day with Ms. Lisa which was sad because we like her so much. So I took off early only to get stuck in traffic and end up meeting Nickie there which was not my plan but oh well. So we get Bryson ready said our good byes and headed toward Nolensville to go to the day care. Unfortuately we were not able to get to the day care in time so we made arrangements to get to the peoples home who had our car seat. Now, you are saying to yourself why don't you just do it Monday. Well that might make sense in your head but after you would have saw the shape this car seat was in you would have gone to this trouble to.
We were able to catch up with guy after a few bad turns in the dark in the rain. So, when i go to transfer Bryson into his car seat I got a hand of slobber from the baby that was in or bulldog. It was gross. My Bryson is not gross like that. After all that going home and cooking a dinner at 7 pm did not sound fun so I stopped into Jets Pizza and took some grub home for the wife and me.
Well, we are now at Saturday which was very relaxing but was able to get alot accomlished.
The pic below is a freeze frame from google earth to show you how far we had to drive to do what we did on Friday plus the fact I came from the north east side of Nashville.
Happy blogging.

Its Been Two Months
Yes, ya'll it'been two months since Bryson entered this world. Just like anything else there are good days and bad days. This Past week was an eventful one to say the least. At the same time I am almost forgetting what happend this past week. I guess I am getting old. This is not good if I am forgetting so much so soon.
I don't think I will do the day by day thing like I sometimes do but it was an eventful week. As I talked about before Nickie was/is moving to another clinic with in the same company. Now, I don't know how a week can matter but to make things complicated they told us that she would go there on November 10th (boy that date sounds familiar) any ways they kind of renigged. What they did was told Nickie it was a for sure thing and then called her up and said well we still need you at this other place for the week so can we have you here for a couple of days then at the other place for a couple of days. Now any other time this would be no problem but when you have a child in the mix it makes it hard. So what happened is the people who have been watching Bryson agreed to watch him the days she was in Franklin and then When she goes to Nolensville the regular day care will watch him. Of course business is business and the day care charged for a full week. Oh well it could be worse (Tuesday). So we will move on.
All I can say is we have been blessed. I am really excited to know that Nickie is going to be only 10 min down the road. It will be a big savings on gas and the day care is cheaper to. Nickie is excited to becuase her new clinic director is more experienced and more laid back but gets the job done. The clinic is smaller to.
So you can keep us in your prayers because we wouldn't mind moving down into the area where Nickie works because it is so quaint. So we are hoping to find house with a good piece of land.
Something else that was cool for me was I met this really cool bass player when I helped out with the Robbie Kinevil jump and he called me up to get a cup of coffee. In the midst of us chatting and me telling me my dreams he pulled out his cellphone and started going through his contacts and writing down phone numbers of people he thought I should contact. He was just a really down to earth guy but at the same time is one of these musicians that if you looked at the list of musicians on the back of your CD his name might just be there. So think I have not only made a good new friend but a good contact in the industry. Infact he is best friends with Gary Chapman which was married to Amy Grant back in the day. He also told me that he recorded a Victor Wooten in his home studio. Just Google Victor. You will then understand.
That next to having a great wife and new little one was a great B-Day gift. I also got to run sound for a wedding reception this weekend. That was fun and went real well so I think the sound company that hired me will call me back for more jobs.
Speaking of the weekend it was crazy. Friday night is when I had coffee with Daniel, then went home for two hours and then went and tore down a stage I had set up ealier that week. Saturday we had to go tear down the play pen where Bryson has been for the last couple of weeks , came home and then went to town to run sound for the wedding reception band at the FRIST. Sunday of course went to church, then came home and ate. Then took the pack and play to the new day care, went grocery shopping, came home , ate some dinner and then went to a town hall meeting at our church about a new project they want to take on.
So all and all it was a busy week and weekend. So happy blogging and see you later.

Then took the pack and play to the new day care, went grocery shopping, came home , ate some dinner and then went to a town hall meeting at our church about a new project they want to take on.
So all and all it was a busy week and weekend. So happy blogging and see you later.

Alot of First in Week Seven
Well, although we are still saddened by the loss of our friend we were very busy with life again this week. Monday was the beginning of a full work week for Nickie and a full week of Bryson out of our hands. Monday was a Monday being full of Monday type things.
Tuesday we did the American thing and voted early to beat the lines. I truly advise you to vote early if you get the chance because it's nice not having to stand in line. Bryson wasn't to fond of it but made it through. So that ended up making for a long day because I came home after work, ate, and then decided go to the polls. That ended up putting us back at home by 8 that evening.
Wednesday was nothing special to talk about.
Thursday I went to go help my boss set up a stage and when we got there he realized we forgot the steps. This was funny to me because he has numerous times told me that I forget alot but this was not the first time they forgot the steps. Now on top of that last year they ran out of gas in their diesle truck on their way back from setting up the same stage. So this year they went to set up the same stage and on the way back to get the steps they forgot the truck ran out of gas again. Oh I laughed. So I stayed and finished up the stage and the other boss drove in his car so he took off to go get gas. He then came back and picked me up to take me to the truck that was out of gas. When we got there my other boss was sleeping in the truck so I went up to the door and knocked on it and said license and registration please. Oh he about hit the roof of the truck. That was good laugh. Another funny thing that happened that day was that Bryson had not had a BM for a few days and Ms. Lisa go an explosion. It was nasty she said.
Now Friday is here and what another interesting day because I got to see Robbie Knievil jump. It was an interesting gig and I don't even know if we got paid. The promoter was a friend of Kinevil and he called him up and said hey you know how I make this glow in the dark paint. Why don't I paint your ramp in the glow in the dark paint and you jump a bunch of brand new cars. So he did. He also got some muscians together and had some different singers. One was Robbie Kinevil's daughter, the other I don't know and the last was the bass player from the group Bad Company. It was really a joke. There was know one there and the guy was not very friendly and even though he had not paid us he was very demanding. He obviously has never put anyting like this together before. If he has I would never hire him to set up my next function. The jump was at the Nashville Speedway and so Robbie came out and did wheelies around the track then went back and forth in front of the jump to get a feel for it. Then just did it. It was pretty cool jump but just a weird event all in all.
Well Happy blogging and take care.

A week of Emotions
Well this week was a week of emotions. Monday I don't really remember but Tuesday evening on my way home I got some really bad news. The bad news was that one of our Sunday school members had passed away. Emmie was 33yrs. old and 17 wks. due with her first child. In fact two weeks before she was at our home serving us good eats and checking out Bryson. It was then that we thought it almost looks like she is expecting so Nickie in a very girlie way said so whats new in your world girl? She had a huge smile and said I am expecting! We were of course very happy for her. The thing about that visit was that we did not know was that it would be the last time we would see her alive. Unfortuanately on Tuesday morning Emmie was rushed to the ER and for two hours the doctors tried to bring her back but were unable to do so. We don't know the exact details but we believe it was an ectopic pregnancy. The other sad thing we heard second hand was that she called the day before saying she had pains and the Dr. said that it was just par for the course. Another DR. who does't know everything. So we as sunday school class have pulled together amazingly and have and are standing in the wings waiting for the family and the church to do its thing.
Then we as a class will step back in. We have already started working on schedules and things to do for her husband. Adam has done a good job of looking strong but we all know he is only human and in the weeks to come it will probably hit hard and I hope we are there to be a shoulder to lean and cry on.
On Thursday we were able to go to the visitation. It was a star struck event in the sense that the country stars were not physically there but because Emmie worked in the country music biz there were flower arrangements there from Vince and Amy Gill (Grant),George Strait, Reba Mctire, Trisha Yearwood and more. Then to top that Lean Womack sang at the funeral. We were unable to attend the funeral but from what I heard, they laughed, cried and heard the gospel. So we hold all the family in our prayers.
Now, on a more personal note we had a hard time realizing that we had to leave our son with an almost stranger but a blessing. The reason she is a blessing is because for the next two weeks day care is free. One of our Sunday school members moms was voluteered and accepted to watch Bryson for the next two weeks till Nickie switches to another clinic. Mrs. Hart said no problem because the most exciting thing she does is go to Publix and watch Brad Praisley go into her next door neighbors to write songs. So blessing one and now for number two. Number two is that Nickie was moved to a clinic just down the road. The only problem that posed at first was day care because we had already put a deposit down at day care next where Nickie currently works. So when we got the news that she would be moving if she desired we frantically looked for a day care close to the new clinic and blessing three we found one. Not only did we find another day care but a day care only a couple miles away from where she would be working. Then we got even better news it was cheaper. So starting November 10 (boy that day sounds familiar, oh ya it's my birthday, it's my birthday so were going to party likes it's my Birthday, sorry got carried away) Nickie will be going only 10 minutes down the road to work. So what a blessing. Another blessing is that Nickie will be able to go to the day care at lunch and feed Bryson. God is good.
So after all that on Saturday we were able to get out and have some much needed fun after that emotional roller coaster. We first went to one of the Partners home where Nickie works and cooked some hotdogs, smores and hung out with her coworkers and such. Then we went back to our development to hang out at our fall festival and then we went to one of our sunday school members homes to hang and remember our friend and the good memories.
So with all have I poured on you I hope you can decypher it all and realize that life is short so love on one another and God still works out big and small blessings everyday.

We are here
Although, I am getting more sleep than Nickie I am still struggling but I need this. I need to be stretched and taken out of my comfort zone and this is the ticket. I really do feel that raising a child is Gods way of showing us how he feels about us. He has to get tired of us doing the same things over and over but in the end still loves us just the same. Quite amazing.
Well, this was a very fun week with my folks. Mom and Dad got in Saturday afternoon because they left PA at 6:30 am. So we got them and their belongings inside and started to chill when Dad says hey lets go to the Opry. So we did and had a good time. Nickie went to which was the first time away from Bryson for such a long time. She was doing good until Kenny Rogers played and dedicated a song to his wife and kids and as soon as they showed a pic of his twins when they were born she was done. The river came from her eyes and she squeezed me tight.
Sunday we cheated and watched the sermon on the web. That could make you lazy but I promise Mike if I did stay home I would still tithe. So then later we went to Costco which next to the Mac store is the coolest place ever. We got some goods and went home.
Monday was another day at the office but that evening I helped a friend put some stuff in storage for his friend. Then during the day Mom and Dad got Nickie out of the house and took her to multiple stores.
Tuesday Mom and Dad got Nickie out and about again. Just their way of spoiling her and the baby.
Wednesday Mom went with Nickie down to a possible day care and to Nickie's clinic to show off Bryson. Now while Mom and Nickie were out and about Dad decided to have some ice cream which is really no big deal until you forget to put it away. So when Nickie and mom came back the ice cream was all over the counter. So dad was busted.
Thursday was a chill day for the rest of the fam well sort of. I forgot some keys that I needed for work so dad said he would bring them to me. Unfortuanately his car battery was dead so he grabbed our truck and brought them to me after getting lost. He then had to go get a new battery. I then went to work at a club where they keep me job security because they are constantly blowing their equiment up. I ended up working a late day but that was okay because I took Friday off and knew it would be worth it.
Friday we slept in sort of then mom and Nickie went down the road to drop off paper work for another day care we may use. When they got back we went and had some good southern cooking at a restaurant called Sweet Tea. It's good thats all I got say. After we filled our tummys we went to the Opry Mills mall and walked it off. I got some new tennis shoes, my dad and I got some pants and mom looked at her sleep number bed that she has been dreaming about and she told me today she called and placed the order. After walking and shopping we headed home and stopped to get gas where I found that my battery was't doing so good. We were able to get a jump and get home.
Saturday was a sad day because mom and dad had to head home. We tried to get them to stay longer but that did not work. Oh well we will be seeing them in a few weeks. The rest of the day Nickie and I just chilled and piddled around the house.
Today we tried to sleep in but that did not work. So I got up and made pankcakes and bacon. After that I decided I should take the truck to Walmart. So I had them change the oil, rotate and balance tires and change the battery. Well the knuckle head put the battery in but did not put the bracket back on. So I asked why not and he said he couldn't and that he didn't know what to do and walked away. So I showed someone else and he acted like he was going to do something but didn't. Then what seemed to be the head tech came out and looked at it and said lets try a smaller battery. So we find another battery to put in and after he set it in I said pull that out I just noticed something. Here someone had changed the battery before and the battery they had was to short to fit in the bracket so they put a piece of wood in the bottom to lift it up to fit. So it took me the customer to realize this amongst three quote techs at Walmart. So that was our week. Until next time.

Struggling in Week 4
Wow, I am so sorry. I just realized it's Monday and I did not do my blog. So ya, it was the week of the big debate. Well all I can say is Nashville had to be hottest place in the world for that hour and a half. Reason being I have never heard so much hot air in my life. Ok nuff said.
It was an interesting week. Monday I set up at Al Gores house for his litte fundraiser for Obama. We had moved everything a hundred times and finally got it right and then Tuesday it rained. So we had to move everything again to get it under the tent because they only got one tent for the people and not the talent which was Michael McDonald. Well, come time for the event we were ready and the show went on. Then on Wednesday we came back and tore it all down. Then I came home to a nice dinner from one of our Sunday School friends.
On Thursday, Nickie, her Doula, and Bryson all went to Vanderbilt to have Bryson's hips analyzed via an ultrasound. All was well and then they all went shopping and ate lunch at Panera Bread. That was very nice of her Doula to do that because it got her out of the house. Now, if you are wondering what a Doula is just click on the word and it will tell ya.
Friday was nothing special besides the fact it was Friday which meant the weekend was here.
Saturday we spent the day cleaning and getting ready for my mom and dad. They got to our house a little after 4 pm. We had a good time just chilling and then dad says hey why don't we go to the Opry. So, we called and they still had tickets. We got home like 1 am which was 2 am for mom and dad. I have never seen my parents at that time in the morning. Funny thing was they didn't look any different.
Well I hope you had a good week and we will try to survive another one with this little one. This week I will leave you with a link to Nickie's Picasa because I think she has posted some pics that I haven't. She is starting to figure things out and take away all my fun. LOL.

Week Three
Well, another week has come and gone. We are more tired than the first week. It has gotten a little better but not perfect yet. Although we have been told by many to enjoy these moments because in the words of Trace Adkins or whoever wrote the song "Your gonna miss this". So I can't wait to miss this. LOL
This week was a crazy week. Work was for a lack of better words crazy. Wednesday I spent a good part of the day looking at a computer because my boss is trying to set it up so that I can make invoices and the such at the shop but update his office computer at home. Well you know how stuff like that goes. Needless to say we haven't figured it out yet. Thursday we wanted to go up to a church in KY and demonstrate a remote controlled camera head so that one person could control multiple cameras at one time. The unfortuanate part is that you have to have a camera that will hook up to the remote head and if it doesn't then it doesn't. So we had our hands on one but it was not going to be available when we needed it so that created a headache and we knew of a camera that was available but according to the makers website that camera was not supported.
So now its Thursday which was the same day that Nickie and I were going to an open house for a day care that we might take Bryson to and I was supposed to go to KY but didn't because we couldn't find a camera yet. After we went to the day care I felt good about the place but my heart was saddened because I have to let a total stranger take care of my child. I'd have to say that it hurt worse than I thought it would:(.
Well now its friday and after a conversation with the designer of the remote cotrolled camera head we found out the camera we had did work as long as it had a smaller lense on it. So it was a weight issue and not a compatability issue. So of course we did not find this out till Friday morning. So we got a late start getting to the customer which made us get back to Nashville later. So after I got home showerd, ate, and went to bed but did not sleep for some reason. Then I had to get up at4:30 am to run audio for the Breast cancer walk in Nashville. I don't know all the groups that performed but of the three stages one was Shedaisy who is mangaged by a former sunday school friend and then my stage was a couple of local guys. They were pretty cool and easy going.
So the rest of Saturday I tried to get some rest and that backfired. We did however have some friends over who haven't had a chance to see Bryson. They brought Nickie a chocolate shake so that made her really happy. We had a good time chatting and hanging out.
Sunday I thought was going to be a lazy day but we ended up going shopping at Aldis to get some much needed food and then some friends who were going to bring dinner over tomorrow called us up and said would you A. want us to bring dinner over tomorrow like we planned or B. you come over tonight and have dinner with us. Well I knew if they brought us dinner tomorrow we would have left overs but at the same time we have been wanting to hang out with couple for a while so we went with A. We had a really good dinner and most important time out of the house with good friends. Now you want to know why they invited us. Well not just because they are good people but because the wife read my blog :) and rememered that I said Nickie was getting stir crazy. So we got a two for the price of one by getting out of the house and getting some good eats.
So we ejoyed our dinner then moved on to dessert and then Bryson realized we weren't home and he opened his pipes. Mommy gave him some milk but that didn't seem to work. The ride home wasn't fun either. We got home and all was well. Crazy, well anyway a new week is upon us and lets hope it goes better.
Well toodles and happy blogging.

Terrible Two's (week)
Bryson is officially over two weeks old now and he is letting us know. The first week once we got out of the hospital was not all that bad. Now that we are in the second week you would think that we would begin to understand our son more but the only thing we do understand is that we don't understand. We feed, burp, change diapers, lay down for a nap and repeat. The thingt is it doesn't always work. There is always something that is discomforting him and he lets us know. Nickie of course being the analytical one is frustrated because she can't figure out what he always wants. Everyone just tells us it's par for the course but that just doesn't settle well with momma. All in all we are still enjoying those sweet moments when they happen.
As far as the rest of the week goes all was well. We took Bryson to the Peditrician earlier in the week and she was very pleased. He went from 7lb 12oz to 7lb 3oz and then to 8lb 8oz. So weight wise he is growing. Nickie is enjoying being with him during the day but is getting a little cabin fever. As far as things go for me I was able to do a job at the Frist center here in Nashville for a Neil Diamond cover band. I just set the equipment up and left. Thats a good gig. Then last night the President of BMI 's son got married and we set up sound for the band that he hired. BMI is one of the companies that makes sure that all singers and song writers get paid. It was a great night because I got to see Kix Brooks who is half of the duo group Brooks and Dunn. He and his wife where there and they got out on the dance floor for one song and I would have to say they know how to dance. Maybe Dancing with the Stars is in his future. On top of that Raul who was the lead vocal of the group the Mavericks was there and did two songs. Then the house band was not your typical house band that rocked it out. The band consisted of people that arer on your cd covers that you don't take time to read but they are there. It was one of those nights that I said this is one the reasons I am here. I just eat stuff like that up. It just rocked. Well ya'll have a good week and until next week happy Blogging.

One Week
Well it's hard to believe but all the screaming and shouting is over and Bryson has been with us for over a week now. It has been neat to see him already growing so fast. Shoot, next week he will be asking for the keys to the car. Well ,any way this week went pretty well considering. We did not get very much sleep the first few nights but he has quickly picked up a schedule and we are enjoying that. Nickie's parents were here for the week and her mom and brother were here the previous week. So it was nice that Nickie's mom go to experience everything with us. The grandparents of course made threats to take him but we knew they wouldn't get 15 minutes down the road and realize they don't have the proper tools to take care of him. We had two good weeks with her family. A little crowded in a condo that is less than 1000 sq. ft. but we managed. We even got new furniture . So of course they can come any time they want if Pops plans to keep spoiling his grandson and baby girl. (don't worry he will never read this so he will never know)Buddy our cat was not to sure what to think but seems to be calming down. We said our good byes on Saturday and I think their church probably did't have much of a service because they all wanted to know how the grandbaby was. Nickie's parents just drooled over Bryson and it was just fun to watch. It's amazing how this little bundle of joy is so much joy to everyone. I guess because we are just amazed again and again by another one of Gods miracles. I just look at it like a new year or springtime. Those are always a time of joy and so is when a baby is born. I guess God really knew what He was doing when he came to earth as a babe. He knew we would be joyous and remember it for years to come.
I have just been blown away by how Bryson has been welcomed into this world. While at the hospital we had a church deacon come and pray with us,Nickies co workers and church friends visit only hours after Bryson entered the world. The church sent letters and personally delivered a book and pamphlet to our home welcoming Bryson to the world. Then on Friday while Nickie's parents were still here and before we went to get our newer furniture one of the business partners from Star Physical Therapy came and said hello to us. Then today one of Nickie's patients called and asked if she could come by and visit. We also had one of our Sunday School members and friends bring over dinner one night. I am just amazed. We have been blessed.
Well now the storm is over and we are starting our lives with this new bundle of joy and in couple of weeks my folks will be here to hang out with us and their new and only grandson. So I know you will continue to pray for us and let us know if we can do the same for you.

Baby Bryson Douglas Robertson
Well on Thursday September 11th @ 2:17 Bryson was born into this world at Williamson Medical Center in Franklin, TN. He was 7lbs. and 12 oz & 20 inches long. He came into this world with his arms and legs just flailing all over the place.
The day started for Nickie at roughly 2 am. She started to feel the contractions. By 4:30 am we were in the hospital getting checked in. After being there for 6 hrs. they basically told us that we should just go home because the water wasn't broke and the contractions were just to far apart. So we asked if we go home now with contractions how long before we can come back and they told us not until your water breaks unless you want us to break which by Nickie's plan she had submitted she did not want done. Nickie quickly changed her mind and had them break water. Immediately after they broke the water Nickie's contractions got closer and stronger. It was not long before Nickie was saying I need to push , I need to push. So she hit the call button and the lady said how can I help you Nickie replied I NEED TO PUSH!!! and in two minutes the pit crew was there except the DR. She was in an emergency situation and could not get there. So they called another DR. who was in the middle of an exam in her clinic across the street. She immediately ran across the street in her high heels and short skirt to our room. When she got there she put the bootys over her high heels and went behind the curtain to put on her pants then came out and was very adiment about the fact that she was given the wrong mask and that she needed a specific one. Once she was ready she checked Nickie and said she was fully dialated and fully efaced. It was go time. She started to push and 35 min. later Bryson was born. It was quite the day to see our little baby boy enter this world.
I of course have pics and vids loaded up and will of course continue to add as time goes.
Thanks for your prayers letters and gifts.

Well Uh??
Well, um no news. We are still waiting for the the little one to come. He/she is being stubborn and likes the warmth of the mothers womb I guess. Nickie and I woke up early this morning and just stared at the ceiling saying what the heck when is this child going to come. She then started having what she felt was contractions that were 20 min apart. Then we got up and went to the airport to pick up my mother in law. She then decided to treat us to IHOP for breakfast (yum). Then we got to the house and Nickie gave her a tour of the Nursery and anything else she was excited about. Now we are just chillin and waiting for the little one to come out and play. I hope soon but the time will come soon.
So sorry for the short blog but I am just being lazy and don't feel like writing anymore. So happy blogging and we are sending out a mass email and calling all cars when the baby comes.

My First Child
Let me explain here. I did this blog under the title of the title above on a different blog. This was before I knew what I was doing with this blogging thing. So you get two blogs for the price of one this week. Enjoy
To those of you who have never had a child or you are not currently expecting this will be boring. Back in December we found out that we were expecting our first child. What a mix of emotions. The excitment that you are finally going to be a parent. Then realizing you are going to be a parent! You mean I am responsible for this child. Oh my! For those of you who know me I am sure you are confident that I will do a good job but I am sure there are some like my parents and inlaws who want to watch me eat my words. I am the type of person who is always telling other that I can do it better than the next parent and that I will break the mold of parenthood and all publications will be calling me and saying how do you do that. Let me see your bag of tricks. Well when I do create my magic and you want some don't get mad when it doesn't work because what works for me won't work for you.(LOL)
Now according to the studies if you can keep a plant alive and then move to a pet and keep that alive you will be a good parent. So if you go by that I will be a great parent because my cat is still alive and loves to sleep beside me every night. ( he doesnt't sleep beside Nickie and she is the big cat lover, Ha).
The shock is amazing when you do find this news out. Of course we got on our soapboxes and let everyone know we were expecting and everyone has been already so supportive. It's a good feeling and it will be neat to see how God provides for us through family and friends.
So do keep us in prayer and hopefully my blogging will get better.

ONE WEEK ????
Well, our time as Nickie and Derek are about over. It was a fun run but now its time to pause that segment of our life. We will resume in thirty years when we get rid of these kids. Of course by that time I am sure I will be in Heaven. Any ways, we are looking forward to this new chapter in our life. We will do our best to cherish all moments. Even at three am when I would rather be sleeping. I dont know why but people sure do love their kids and I am about to find out why. I think this weeks blog will be short so go back and check out all our pics and vids. I am sure by this time next week I will be a daddy and have all kinds of videos and pics.
Love you all and keep blogging.
Love you all and keep blogging.

TTTTTTTWWOOO WEEEEEEKKKKKKSSS!!!!!
Yikes, It's only two weeks according to the DR's that we are working with. Yes plural on the docs. See what the clinic does that we go to is take turns after your first couple visits. That way if your doc is busy elsewhere and one of the other docs have to jump in they are not an unfamiliar face to you. Which I think is neat because Nickie right now is not to fond of her doc. She is not terrible just seems like all of the sudden she doesn't have time for Nickie. Who knows maybe she is just overloaded at work. I am getting to a point in my life to give people the benefit of the doubt because I have know clue what they are going through.
Anyway we are down to the wire. I am excited and scared but at the same time the more I look at families it seems like there is this joy that I am missing out on and I am starting to want that. I also notice the bigger the family the happier they look so who knows of what is to come. I know one thing I need my dreams to be answered prayers soon so I can provide for this family. If Nickie knew my comlete plan she might put a restraining order on me.
Well we want to say thanks for everyone who has blessed us with gifts for the little one. We have sent cards out saying so but if anyone actually reads this thanks again.
I have some pics of the Nursery, Nickie and hopefully some audio of the heart beat.
Happy blogging and looking forward to hearing from you.

Less than 3 Weeks
Well, I am at a loss for words but I am sure I will think of something. We are closer than we were last week to being parents. The thought of it makes me wonder if I am ready for such a ride. It's so crazy that we as humans keep putting ourselves through this agony. We have got to be the stupidest smartest creatures on earth. I mean the woman has to go through agonizing pain to have the baby then it keeps you up at night because its hungry or has a full diaper. Then they start walking around and getting into things they shouldn't. After that they start talking and talking back. Then they want your money and that never ends. They wan't to drive,date...... Any ways. We are as ready as we ever will be. Our last shower was this weekend and so with giftcards and repeats we went to the store and got the mattress for the crib, the bed set, a diaper genie, changing pad and the thingy that helps support the baby while it drains mom of her milk.
I just wanted to sit at home and chill with my brother and his wife but he wanted to feel apart of things so we made the trek to the store and then came home and set it all up. In the end we were together and thats what matters. I'm just a home body I guess you could say unless it's something I want to do then I am all about it.
So I guess just keep us in your prayers and we will do the same for you. Our week is starting out a little rough. I accidentally sent Nickies Lamaze DVD to Netflix instead of the movie we got from them and some other things I just dont care to talk about right now.
If you would like to make comments or send feed back you can do so at the end of this blogg. Just look for the word comment and to send a message there is icon of an evelope I believe. Here are somemore pics.
Enjoy and keep blogging.

Four Weeks
We are down to 4 weeks roughly. Nickie is getting a little uncomfortable. She says her nights are a little restless and I think I am having sympathy pains as far as sleeping at night. She is also starting to say what I have heard other expectant mothers say when they are down to the last lap and that is I AM READY FOR THIS KID TO COME OUT!!
I would say we are getting anxious for this new little one and the main reason we just want to see how good we can make babies. Yesterday we had our first little scare where I decided to call the doctor. I heard a wimper and ran back to the beadroom to find Nicikie bent over in pain. So I called the DR. and she asked a couple questions and said your fine. I never saw Nickie double over like that I knew she had been getting some sharp pains but not enough to drop her like its hot.
During the brunch hour yesterday our Sunday School class had a baby shower for us and blessed us with a good time of food, fun, fellowshiip and some really nice gifts. We were totally blown away by their generosity.
The great thing is we still got one more shower to go with Nickies choir ladies.
So in this time where we sometimes say how we gonna do this God blesses us through others.
Have a great week and will blogg later.

Five weeks
Well we are down to 5 weeks. The closer it gets the harder is to realize how things are goint to change so much. It's mixed feelings of course. Excitement because we will be blessed by a new one in the family but fear because we realize we will be responsible for this new life.
This week has been a weird week in that the first two days I was up in Hopkinsville, KY. (there is nothing there) We had just finished up a lighting install but they were doing a special event this week and wanted to rent video equipment that they did not have to make their event go better. So we spent Monday and Tuesday doing that. Wednesday I was finally back in town just doing things around the shop and at home. The weekend looked like it was going to be busy but all panned out well. Although we did finally sign up for life insurance and we had a nurse come to our home on Saturday to get blood and other bodily fluids to test to make sure we are healthy. Of course when I heard I had to give blood I was not to excited. Blood and needles to do bother me but back in highschool I signed up to give blood and after the 90 year old nurse fished for my vein and finally got some blood out of me. She then told me to not give blood for along time. So I waited a few years and while in college I signed up to give blood again. So I get in the chair and the nurse starts with my right arm with no luck and then goes to my left. The nurse thought he found my vein and when nothing came out thought he should move the needle but when he pulled it out I heard an air noise. He quickly put the needle back in and said he needed to rethink this one. So they finally found a good vein and all was well. Then all of the sudden I noticed the world was moving. I asked the guy is it ok that you are doing circles around me? Then next thing I know my feet were in the air I had a bag on my face and was being told to breathe (it was paper not plastic). Needless to say I came to and all was well. So now when I hear the word give blood I say no thank you. Unfortuanately in order to get the life insurance I had to. We'll I survived. I would have had Nickie take picutures but she was diposed at the time because blood was not the only fluid of choice.
Well I was going to post a video of Nickie singing in a ensemble but I just haven't got things set up. So just to wet your appetite here is a clip of my sunday school teacher showing how to dance like Michael. It is probably one of those things where you have to be there but when your teacher decides to break out in dance in a Baptist church you got to laugh and I am sure God does to.
Peace and happy blogging

Six weeks
Well, we are in week six. Now, I know alot of people after they have a child start realizing they have to grow up and usually I am years behind everone else. Except this time. I have had somethings happen to me lately that has either through actions of others sermons and a tv segment from Donny Deutch's the Big Idea that has made me realize I need to take it up a notch. So like growing pains to physically grow I am going through mental and spiritual growth right now. At the same time I know I am not the only one going through this. It's something we all go through. So lets keep each other in prayer and lift one another up and not down. Rembember we are all in this together. Now here is a video clip to lift ya up.

The countdown begins
Well, we are down to 7 weeks. I cant believe it. No I am not freaking out WHY WOULD I BE FREAKING OUT? I mean I thought marriage would turn my world around but I think I got another thing coming. So as I enter this stage of fatherhood I sit and wonder other than the fact that I will have no time for myself, less for Nickie, and have to give alot of attention to a baby I wonder what else will change. I mean am I quote all grown up. I have all the accesories of a grown up but I doubt I will all of the sudden be treated like one. I doubt that happens overnight. So guess I will have to just keep dealing with it. It could be worse I could not be cared for at all. So the point behind this blogg. I don't know I just wanted to blab I guess. I hope you have a good week and i will post more pics and vids soon.

Long time
It has been very busy in this Robertson House hold. I think it has been over three weeks since last time that I updated you on our life. Too much has happened in the last few weeks to remember but I will do my best not to put you to sleep.
OBJECT classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0" WIDTH="384" HEIGHT="304">
Well for the first time in a few years we were able to go to PA for the fourth of July. We of course had selfish reasons. It was a good time to see family but we also had a baby shower for our little one that is on the way.
We left for PA last Wednesday night, stopped at Crowne Plaza hotel just outside of Cincinatti, OH. Then finished the drive on Thursday. We went to my folks first and stayed the night there. On Friday the Fourth we went to Nickie's folks and hung out for the day. Then during the course of the day my folks told me that my cousin Bill from Akron, OH was going to use our field for a little pyro if ya know what I mean. Needless to say I couldn't resist so I headed back to Meadville, PA from Erie, PA to my back yard to spread a little Idependence Day cheer. Now, let me set this up. Back in 2000 my cousin Bill came over to light up the night and thats exactly what we did but not the way we wanted to. So here we go. I had picked up a reel from the phone company back in PA which I guess is frowned upon for some reason but I still did it. So, this reel was laid on its side like a table to launch the fireworks. My cousin , his family and mine were sitting watching him and I commence to light em up and all went well until one of these spinning do dads decided to spin off the table towards our families and then change direction and headed straight for the bag of goods that was placed on the bottom of the reel for PROTECTION! This did not work. My cousin and I looked at each other, he started to kick the bag and I started running backwards. As I was running backwards I tripped doing a summer sault and kept right on going as all the goods went every direction but up.
Well, bummers all that is now literaly up in smoke. My dad then ask me why did you run backwards. I said I did not want to miss the show. So we decided to take the burnt up goods and throw them in our campfire because now all it is burnt cardboard. My mom being the sensible one says what if they are not empty of explosives? All us men thought arrrrugh, they will be fine. Five minutes later shots rang out like a bell and we all jumped. What a heart attack.
No one got hurt but it shure got our attention. Then like five minutes later they started popping again. So I guess mom was right. Oh well it sure was fun.
Now as far as this year goes all went well. We played things a little smarter and did the spinning do dads away from the good stuff. My cousin bought enough fireworks to consistently go off for about a half hour. Our show was probably the best show in town. Unless you can tell me of another show where it was a consistent thing. I doubt it.
Well I don't have pics of the show yet but I hope I can get video of it from my cousin and then post it to the site. I do have pics of the weekend and some video of Me,Andy and Dad lighting some goods.
I am tired for now so I will post the vid later
As far shower goes WOW and I mean WOW. Our family and friends showed us again how much they love us with all the gifts. Again thank you so much and blogg later.

Fan Fair Week
Whew!!! Last week was Fan Fair. If you are a country fan it is probably the largest country music function in the world. A lot of the acts all show up to Nashville to say thanks to the fans for making them rich .. I mean loving their music. I think that was my inner mono logue. Any way. I had a lot going on with my normal job which is far from normal but on top of that I was asked one day by the company that was providing audio services for the Hard Rock Cafe if I could run audio for what we call songwriters in the round in the Hard Rock itself and of course I said yes. So starting on Wednesday of last week I would go home from the day job , eat, take a nap and then go back into town after 10 pm and get home about 2 am. So by the end of the week I was pooped. It was a good experince and some extra mula. The neat thing about the song writer deals is you get to actually meet the men and women who write alot of the music for the artists. Songs like Live Like You were Dying was written by one of the artist .So sorry Tim McGraw did not write that song. So you name it and in the 3 -4 nights I was there I heard the stories behind the songs from the actual songwriters. . I hope I have't ruind your day and also WWE is fake to. Sorry again.
Now, on top of all that this is the third year that I have to help my one boss with a gig at a pentecostal church. I mean pentecostal. I mean dancing, speaking in tounges and music like you have never heard before. The music is more like a chant that could go on as long as they feel the spirit moving. It's nothing like you have ever seen in your life. In fact this is the church that Robert Randolph came out of. This event starts for us way before the actual event. We go in and make sure all the eqipment is in good shape and usually make additions to the sound and the like. then the event starts on a Wednesday and goes to the following Friday so its a good week and a half. The funny thing is we do all this work get them up and going ,work out some kinks and then they think hey we got it from here you can go home. Not cool but their the client so you just let them do what they want I guess.
So on a family note. We are doing well. Nickie and I both attended a baby class last Saturday and this Satuday. Oh what fun. Its hard to believe but Nickie is entering the 7th month of pregnancy . So Last Saturday I was at HardRock till 2 am then came home went to bed,got up and went to the class. Then came home to take a nap, and then went back to HardRock. When I got finished there went back home to bed ,got up and went to church then I wanted to go out to lunch and then Nickie wanted to shopping for two hours for one pair of shorts. I was beat and couldn't wait to go home and go to bed.
So this should be another busy week but hopefully profitable. We also have had to put the truck in the garage twice this week. Cars are such a necessary evil. What I hate is seeing people putting money into their wheels for fun and I am doing it just so it will run.

A good weekend
I would have to say that this weekend was a good weekend. The reason being is because we did little to no work. So that's a good weekend but that is not to say we were not busy. The weekend was started by a really nice dinner at a restaurant that I did an install in. The restaurants name is Wild Ginger. I had there rib eye that was cooked to perfection, a lotus roll that was off the hook and Nickie had Halibut and duck quesidia. It was all very tasty till we go the bill that could have been but since I did the AV install I got invited to Family and Friends night. I think its worth the price but we just won't be going there like me might go to Sonic. Anyways on to the rest of the weekend. Then later that evening a couple from PA who were part of a wedding here in TN got to our home and we hung out till midnight and chatted. Then Saturday morning we got up and had breakfast together and were able to hang some more. Then they took off for the wedding and we then caught up with them Sunday afternoon. We took them to the Opry Mills Mall. We go some lunch, walked around then got some Ice cream for the mothers to be and then took them over to the Gaylord Hotel.
Then after we walked 500 hundred miles we headed back home to chill before there departure. But before they left I jumped on skype to say hi to my inlaws to find out my parents were there to. So we all hudled together to make sure the camera could see us all and so the 4 of us here had a video chat with mine and hers parents. That was quite a surprise to skype her parents and end up seeing mine. Well I am blogged out for the evening but here are some pics of the weekend.
Happy blogging.

Work Work
Work has been the theme of this Holiday weekend. Although we still took some time to do a little grilli'n on our 3rd floor patio. We of course have to use an electric grill because a bunch of idiots did not watch their grills in the past and burnt their apt. and condos. So we have to suffer. I will be exctited to cook on my own real grill someday.
Anyways we did grill some hotdogs and ate some watermelon in between all the painting. Yes, we painted the baby's room without knowing the gender. How dare we do such a thing. I mean how do you paint a room for a baby not knowing what the gender is. Well, first get some paint brushes, paint of course, a roller or two and some plastic to protect you and the floor. Then you start painting. See its not that hard. Well it is if you're fussy like me. I know I know what color did we paint? Well by the name will you will know who picked it. Drum roll please and the name is ............ Zippy Do Dah. Yes Nickie picked it. ( light green) Then of course one room is not enough so I got to paint the hallway. Well , I am glad its done thats all I can say. Nickie of course did not think painting would be enough work for her as a pregnant woman so she started out by planting flowers and herbs in some pots on our third floor patio.
Also something that was cool was that Nickie got to sing with an ensemble at church this weekend. She was very excited and had a good time. Maybe next time it will be trio and then maybe a solo. Time will tell.
To prove we did all the above here are some pics and links to prove so.

Baby is Kicking in
Well, the baby is really starting to wear Nickie down. She was officially 6 mo. yesterday. So to celebrate I got VIP passes to the Merrel Crawfish Boil. She got hear the sweet music of Papa Roach and just some good staight up Rock'n Roll of 3 Doors Down. We got to rip the heads off a hundred crawfish just to tease our appetite, some spicy corn and potatoes. What an experience. It think I had more crawfish guts on me than in my plate. To much work for food I'd say.
So if you believe everthing I said above I would love to show you also my ocean front property in Arizona. Price is negotiatable. I really did not buy VIP passes. They were given to me from my boss buying Merrel shoes a day or two before. We did get to hear Papa Roach but Nickie did not think they were sweet, but she doesn't mind 3 Doors Down.
All this to say Nickie is starting to pop you could say and I finally felt the baby kick the other day. Pretty exciting. I can't wait to see the baby pushing on her tummy. So to those of you who blogg I salute you until next time.
Happy blogging.

Ultrasound Three
Well, I know we did not tell anyone about a third ultrasound but we did have one. We went in on Tuesday, 5/6/08, and went through the process again. Of course Nickie required me to be there again. I was stuborn about it just because I did not want take off any more time because we were gone the alot the week before because of my best friends wedding in VA. That sounds like a movie. Any way, the Dr. did not get enough measurements on the heart and the brain on the second required ultrasound. So this time they were able to get what they needed and all is well. So this morning we woke up at the crack of noon and started our Saturday routine of cleaning when Nickie handed me a paper with a list of to do's. (honey do list). So by doing this blog I am obeying orders. Here of course are pics from the Ultrasound. Also I will post a link to pics of Nickie and other ultrasounds. Also remember you can go to these links anytime and see updates. Hint, this pic of Nickie is a link to a bunch of pics.
Happy blogging.

Old blog
Here is a link to an old blog that I did not realizing I just keep adding to the previoius blog. So I am still learning but until further notice keep checking out the family update one.
Ultrasound Two
WEll, I am starting to like this blogging thing. I wonder if I could make a career out of it. You know someone pay me for my wisdom. That would be a change. Any way I really came here to let anyone who actually reads this know about the ultrasound. For all I know this is just setting out there somewhere in cyberspace floating with no destination.
So where do I start. Some of you may know that Nickie and I are expecting our third child. We are really excited and can't wait to see him or her. We could have found out this past Friday but told the ultrasoundist (?) that we did not want to know and she asked if we wanted it put in an envelope for us to look at later and we still denied. Nickie's parents were able to come and be there for us. It was a great time seeing the little one. I think it's a girl but who knows. It at least had my nose. Thats a good start. Any way Nickie's parents were here for the weekend. You say only the weekend but have you ever been with me for an hour. Then you understand.
I am glad you made it this far and for your reward for reading this far here is a pic.

Heart Beat
Well, Nickie and my folks went yesterday to hear the baby's heart . The Dr. said all is well and that it was ticking at 158 bpm. My wife took a tape recorder to record the heart beat and it came out pretty well for a tape recorder. I might load that as a mp3 someday.
Now in three weeks Nickie's folks will be here and they will go with us to the sonogram. I don't understand why they just don't make you wait till the 19th week and get it all done in one shot It would make more sense instead of this once a month deal. Oh well they got to pay the bank for that Mercedez.
Any ways all is well and we looking forward the new future. So take care and happy blogging.

Baby checkup
Hello everyone
I thought I would write a little update. My folks are in town until this Saturday and will have the chance to go to the DR. with Nickie on Thursay for her monthly checkup. They will get to hear the babies hear beat which is really neat. So far Nickie is doing well other than shortness of breath, always hungry and tired.
Then in three weeks Nickie will go back to get a sonogram which if I remember right they can tell the sex at that time which we want to be surprised and not know.
So I appreciate all your prayers.
